Musical Theater

At All Saints Catholic School, we recognize the importance of an arts education in the formation of the mind, body, and spirit of children. In 2013, the All Saints Musical Theater Company was established for students in grades seven and eight. All students who wish to participate in the program are cast in the play. These students enjoy a co-curricular, after school program, directed by Mr. Antone Olivier, the retired Director of Dramatic Arts at Saint Mary's College High School. During the school year, Mr. Olivier, along with a music director and choreographer, work with students in the company. The students participate in drama activities, auditions, and the production of a 2-hour musical.

MUSE Band and Piano

MUSE Band

MUSE Band, under the direction of accomplished 2013 Grammy winning trumpeter Steffen Kuehn, is a contracted extra-curricular band program for students in third through eighth grades. Instruction is provided for a variety of brass and woodwind instruments, as well as drums and percussion. Three levels of instruction - beginning, intermediate, and advanced - are offered. Beginning and intermediate band classes are offered during the school day; advanced band classes are offered after school. In addition to weekly lessons at school, M.U.S.E. offers our students free workshops, participates in school concerts, multi-school winter and spring concerts, Honor Band, annual solo and ensemble festival, and marching opportunities in the San Francisco St. Patrick's Day Parade. This instruction is provided at an additional cost to families.

MUSE Piano

Piano class is taught once a week after school in group instruction by accomplished musician Ann Tung. Classes are 35 minutes and offered to grades 2-8. Instruction is provided at an additional cost to families. No previous experience is necessary. The curriculum of each class varies by grade-level and abilities of each student. The goal of the teacher is to create a stimulating and enjoyable environment in which students can experience playing the piano both individually as well as in a group setting. Piano students perform at school recitals each year. This is a great way to introduce your child to the piano!
